These guys “worked it out” and gave the hundreds of people watching something great to both see and hear– they’ve really got their act together, and I liked them so much that I gave ‘em $10 and got a live CD from them in return. The 20-song CD is superb– I love their renditions of classics like “Twistin’ The Night Away,” “Barbara Ann,” and “Teddy Bear.”
According to their website, Select Blendz formed a couple years ago. The group is made up of acappella, soul, R&B and gospel singers Raisin Harvey Cain, Rome Jerome Cohen, George Ellington, Billy William Chavis, Tommoraw Mortimer, and bass play Todd Grunder, who among them have performed with The Soul Shakers, Andre Williams, The Commodores, Black Ivory, The Delfonics, The Continental Four, Wynton Marsalis, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, and more … in addition, performance movie credits include Married to the Mob and Everyday People. I am impressed!
